Manchester Terror Attack

Following the horrific events of Monday evening, NACO asks all Co-operative Group members to follow the guidance sent to us from Angel Square.

Incident at Manchester Arena

Following last night's incident at Manchester Arena our thoughts are with those who lost their lives or have been injured.

If you have any concerns about friends or relatives, Manchester Police have issued an emergency contact number which is 0161 856 9400.

We also understand that you may be upset by such a terrible event taking place in our city. If you would like to talk to somebody, support is available from our Employee Assistance Line on 0800 970 1030 (Freephone) or 0330 332 9996 (from mobiles).

Angel Square and Miller Street buildings are open but we believe Federation is within the police cordon. Victoria station remains closed with no rail services in or out for the rest of the day. Some Metrolink services are also affected and there are local road closures in the immediate area, including Miller Street.

Given the disruption and ongoing police investigation, if you are able to work from home today you should do so and let your manager know. If you need to be in the office please check your route before setting off and expect delays.

We have offered our support to the emergency services as they continue to work on this incident.

We will issue further updates if the situation changes.

At this very difficult time, we would urge members to contact the support available through the Group’s Validium Service, the Employee Assistance provider:

Landline: 0800 970 1030

From Mobiles: 0330 332 9996

NACO stands ready to support any members who may be affected by the attack, and can be contacted via the Registered Office on 0161 351 7900 or [email protected]
