NODMA 2013 Annual Pay Negotiations
Please contact NACO if you have not received a hard copy by Friday 10th May 2013.
The NACO Executive has been involved in a series of detailed pay negotiations with the Co-operative Employers Association (CEA) Executive in relation to the 2013 pay review.
The final position reached for 2013 is for an overall pay award of 2.5%. Acknowledging the difficult trading conditions in which we are currently operating, NACO firmly believes that this position represents the best we can achieve by negotiation for the 2013 annual pay review. The offer compares favourably with settlements that have been reached for the private sector in the first quarter of 2012 (2.5% median for Quarter One 2013 – IDS Pay Report May 2013). As a consequence the NACO Executive recommends that members accept the offer.
Flexible Holiday Arrangements
In reaching agreement for the 2012 pay negotiations it was also agreed to introduce agreed guidelines to provide NACO graded employees with five or more year’s service the right to bank up to a week per annum of leave, subject to a maximum of 3 weeks. Banked leave could then be accessed at a point during employment, or could be paid in lieu on termination of employment.
The terms of this policy have now been finalised and have been incorporated into the National Agreement framework for those Societies without alternative flexible holiday leave arrangements. Details of the policy can be found on the NACO website (www.naco.coop/nodmahols).
