Unfortunately, due to certain legal complications with the Certification Officer (CO) outside of NACO's control, it is now unlikely that the ballot to transfer the NACO engagements into SATA/USDAW will take place until early in the New Year, contrary to the communication circulated earlier this month.

Fundamentally, final approval to go to ballot can now not be given by the CO until he is comfortable that the amendments to the NACO Benevolent Fund have been accepted by the NACO membership at the forthcoming Special General Meeting on 12th December.

NACO's original instruction from the CO was that this would have been in order.

Whilst disappointing, NACO members will still decide whether a transfer to SATA/USDAW will take place, hopefully in January 2018.

The NACO Executive recommends a vote in favour of transfer to SATA/USDAW.

Can we take the opportunity to remind members to ensure that NACO has all up-to-date home addresses on our database in preparation for ballot papers being sent out by the Independent Scrutineer in due course.

Co-op Group's Castlewood Distribution Centre
12th December
Starting promptly at 11am.

Don't forget to advise NACO if you're intending to attend the SGM on 12th December at the Co-ops Castlewood DC, or not.

As mentioned above, it is important to pass any amendments at this meeting so that NACO can progress matters to the CO in respect of the ballot to transfer to SATA/USDAW.

Members should have received letters regarding this meeting by now, but if not, please contact the NACO Head Office on 0161 351 7900 or via as soon as possible.

Further regular updates will be sent to members, and also via the website. The NACO Head Office can be contacted on 0161 351 7900 or via
